YOKE

YOKE was founded in 2018 by Norio Terada in Japan with the concept of “connecting.” The name—meaning “to connect” or “bond”—reflects the belief that garments are born through the convergence of raw materials, techniques, and people, and that clothing can act as a bridge between individuals. With a background in art prior to studying at Bunka Fashion College, Terada brings a distinct sensibility to YOKE. He draws inspiration from the world of painters, weaving their color palettes and visual language into each collection—creating pieces that quietly merge art, form, and emotion.
